Blogger Babes Collection Part 3 of 3
Ah, my final blogger babe. A pair and a spare is definitely an inspirational blog that just about, almost makes me DIY as well. Geneva via her blog has definitely encouraged a plethora of ideas in this noggin' of mine, all impatiently waiting in a "To do" basket. The ease and elegance of her tutorials and sartorial choices are brilliant. Absolutely clever and doable. Not to mention she is utterly stunning. I apologise for not properly illustration how much of a stunner she is! Her sartorial choices are crisp and chic and her DIY projects are innovative and so effectively presented that any one can follow along! I strongly encourage everyone to check her out!
Thank you Geneva and keep up the good work! Gold star!

Blogger Babes Collection Part 2 of 3
In my previous blog entry I spoke of simplicity and a fresh aesthetic unadulterated by the excess of vice. Today, I’m heralding this very concept. Opulence, grandeur, excess, (‘80’s early ‘90’s excesses) I’m talking hair-band hair, gold encrusted Versace couture (pre-Donatella, although she has her moments) and a Gypsy’s penchant for wearing all her jewels and belongings at once. Therefore the aesthetic of my next feature blogger encompasses this all, and much much more.
Ms. Vintage Virgin, what. a. badass. Whether it be her take-it-or-leave-it attitude or her love of layering, I heart it all! When she does rock-and-roll she puts Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix to shame. To shame. In fact, she's the one who inspired me to do this collection. I noticed she had a few illustrations from admirers and thought, why not? Bring two of my passions together; fashion and illustration! And side point - she's just oh-so-pretty. Lame I know...
Any who, as with all illustrations, they never capture the true essence of a person and usually exaggerate something the subject won't like. Apologies. It's all good. Hope you like it...

Blogger Babes Collection Part 1 of 3
There are a few blogs I follow that have an inspiring affect/effect on me. I follow them daily, whether for their simplicity, or for their excess, they inspire me to do likewise and keep living each day with dramatic and creative flair. It's nice to see other like-minded individuals, even if they are across the globe. I have chosen three Bloggers to illustrate and illuminate. Ok, so all three are very popular, so they probably don't need illuminating in the bringing-to-the-fore kinda way, but I likes them, so neh!
I'm going to start with Simplicity.
I'm going to start with Simplicity.
Love-Aesthetics is the ultimate in simplicity-is-key chic. She's a mad DIY'er and I love her late 90's/ Woody Allen's Sleeper aesthetic. White, grey, black & metals is her palette. In such a crazy elaborate world her sartorial candor is refreshing. Beautifully photographed and utterly motivating, her DIY projects are both astonishingly simple yet oh-so effective.
She is this blog entry's muse. She was beautiful to illustrate, albeit difficult, due to all the white on white etc.

Refused is not dead!
Ok, so I'm not a particularly good photographer, but my goodness I needed to capture this amazing show.
Their intensity and fury show they are most certainly not dead, and these masters of counter culture were back (to make some money hehe, but hey, a guy's gotta eat right? Oh the irony...) with a vengeance (man I'm corny).
Anyway, hope you like 'em.
